On that silent night
woke up from my sleep,
hearing the scary thunder
spark of lightning on your face
Like a new born baby
feeling the warmth of mother
Saw you, lying besides me
close to my heart
Wings protected you
from the shivering cold
Feathers gently moved across
to make you stay asleep
Warned the roaring wind
not to disturb your sleep
but to wake you up gently
in the early morning.

not to distract you

Colour of the walls soothen us
roofs decorated with designer lamps
Yellowish light from the twin bed lamp

Green curtains curtail the street light
Laid besides, the green sofa set

the noise of engines and horns
