Before I sleep

Facing the window on my right side I laid on my bed
Dim street light entered through the glass panes
Lightened my room and x ray images were seen.
Shadows of leaves were dancing
to the musical notes of wind.
Eagerly opened the window to see the
beautiful sky with stars and the moon
but the roof of car porch behaved opaque.

Searched for my sleep in darkness,
lost it at some point of life.
Turning to the right and left, rolling upside down on my bed,
Clock needle moved clockwise waiting for no man .
Missed calls, messages and calls
took me to a world of memories
Turning around I saw my friends , classmates and family. 
Moments I cherish as well as dislike 
crossed over my mind.

Got up from bed , roam about in my room
drank some water to swallow my thoughts
Back to my bed and prayed
" O goddess of sleep 
bless my in thy kindness "

അമ്മയാണെനിക്കേറ്റവും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതീ ജന്മത്തില്‍

സോദരിയായ് കൂട്ടുകാരിയായ്
എന്നോടൊപ്പമീക്കാലമത്രയും അമ്മ വസിപ്പൂ

സുന്ദര കാനന വസതിയില്‍ നിന്നും
മക്കളെ ഉയരങ്ങളിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുയര്‍ത്തിയ
അമ്മയെ മറന്നു ജീവിക്കുന്നു നാമോരോരുത്തരും
പിറന്നു വീണ മണ്ണിന്‍റെ ഗന്ധമറിയാതെ
പറന്നകലുന്നു നാം അനാഥരെപ്പോലെ
നിയന്ത്രണമില്ലാത്ത ജീവിതശൈലികളില്‍
മുങ്ങി നിവരുമ്പോളറിയില്ല ആ അമ്മതന്‍
നെഞ്ചിലെ വേദന 

അമ്മതന്‍ മടിയില്‍ ചായാന്‍ കൊതിയോടെ അടുത്തിടും
മണ്ണിന്‍റെ മാറ് പിളര്‍ന്ന് വന്‍കിട സംരംഭങ്ങള്‍
കെട്ടിട സമുച്ചയങ്ങള്‍ , എങ്ങും
കോണ്‍ക്രീറ്റ് പാളികള്‍ , മക്കളോര്‍ക്കാതെ പോയ
സത്യമെന്തെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിയുക
അന്തിമയങ്ങുവാന്‍ വേണ്ട ആറടി
മണ്ണിനായ് അലയേണ്ടുന്ന സമയം സുനിശ്ചിതം
മാതൃത്വത്തിന്‍റെ ശ്വാസവും ജീവനുമറിയാതെ

Looking at the empty wall in front of me
I thought the path I had travelled in life,
what is going to happen tomorrow
what has happened today and what about yesterday.

Yesterday has turned out to be a memoir of history,
unforgettable days, memorable moments,
mother's love, father's care fights with siblings , and
sleepless nights before exams.

Leaves that withered take a rebirth
New leaves appear in spring but the cycle continues. 

Today is an express with limited stops
lots of unanswered questions,confused mind, solutionless puzzles,
job hunt, thoughts about past and future.
I starred at my phone frequently for messages or calls.

Future is a track of probability, in hopes
and expectations.The bag of  future seem to be smaller
than the past and present
But the wall was still empty with no traces of thoughts.

നിദ്രയിലാഴ്ത്തി , തഴുകിത്തലോടി 

മീട്ടുക മീട്ടുക വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും 

രാഗലയം ഭാവതാളലയം 

എന്‍ ധമനികളെ വിളിച്ചുണര്‍ത്തി 

സ്വരരാഗത്തില്‍ ലയമായ് മാറി 

ഒഴുകി അലയുകയായ് 

ആത്മാവില്‍ ശ്രുതിലയമൊഴുകുകയായ് 

ഏതോ രാവില്‍ വന്നെന്നെ 

പുല്‍കി മെല്ലെ മയക്കി 

സ്വരസുധയില്‍ മനം നൃത്തമാടുമ്പോള്‍ 

എന്‍ കാല്‍ ചിലങ്കകള്‍ താളമിട്ടു 

മല്‍ഹാര്‍ രാഗം മഴത്തുള്ളികളില്‍ 

ഒളിഞ്ഞു മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു 

അറിയാതെന്‍ കാലടികള്‍ നടനമാടി

പറയാനാവാതെ പോയി

മനസ്സിലൊളിപ്പിച്ച പ്രണയം അവനോട് പറയാനാവാതെ പോയ ഓരോ നിമിഷവും ഓര്‍ത്ത് അവള്‍ വേദനിച്ചു . മുള്ളിന്മേല്‍ നടക്കുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ , തീയില്‍ ചവിട്ടുന്നതിലേക്കാളേറെ ആ ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ അവളെ കാര്‍ന്നു തിന്നു.

 വേദന സംഹാരിയുടെ ശക്തി കുറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു .മയക്കത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഞെട്ടലോടെ ഉണര്‍ന്ന അവളുടെ മനസ്സില്‍ അവനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഓര്‍മകളും സ്വപ്നങ്ങളും തളം കെട്ടി നിന്നു  .

മനസ്സിലെ പ്രണയം അറിയിക്കാനാവാതെ വിഷമിച്ച കാലം , ഒന്നും പറയാതെ അവനൊന്ന് മനസിലാക്കിയെങ്കില്‍ എന്ന് തോന്നിയ നിമിഷം , അവനെ കാണാന്‍ കാത്തു നിന്ന പാതയോരങ്ങള്‍ , അവനോട് സംസാരിക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം തേടിയുള്ള യാത്രകള്‍ , തന്നെക്കാളേറെ മറ്റുള്ളവരോട് അവന്‍ അടുപ്പം കാണിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടായ ചെറിയ പിണക്കങ്ങള്‍ , തന്‍റെ ഇഷ്ട്ടം അവനെ അറിയിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ച നിമിഷം , പല കാരണങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് പലപ്പോഴും സംസാരിക്കാന്‍ നഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ട അവസരങ്ങള്‍ , ജീവിതത്തില്‍ പതറി പോയ നിമിഷങ്ങളില്‍ അവന്‍ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ എന്ന് തോന്നിയ സാഹചര്യങ്ങള്‍ , അവനെ കുറിച്ചോര്‍ത്തു കിടന്ന രാത്രികള്‍ , അവന് നല്‍കാന്‍ വാങ്ങിയ സമ്മാനങ്ങളും ആശംസാകാര്‍ഡുകളും , അവന്‍ മാത്രം വായിക്കാന്‍ എഴുതിയ ഡയറി കുറിപ്പുകള്‍ ഈ മെയില്‍ സന്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ , ഫോണില്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അവന്‍റെ വാചകങ്ങള്‍ , അവനോടൊപ്പമുള്ള ചെറിയ യാത്രകള്‍ ..

 ഇനി മുന്നോട്ടുള്ള അവളുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഇവയോന്നുമില്ല.

വേദനയുടെ തീവ്രത വീണ്ടും അവളെ വാരി പ്പുണര്‍ന്നു .

പാതിവഴിയില്‍ എല്ലാം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കാന്‍സര്‍ അവളെ കൊണ്ടു പോകാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങി കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

നിന്നെ ഞാനെന്‍റെ.....

ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു വച്ചു പോയി അറിയാതെ 

വെയിലും മഴയും , രാവും പകലും

എന്‍റെയീ സ്നേഹത്തിന്‍ ചുംബനമേറ്റു നീ 

മയങ്ങി വീണു പോയ്‌ അറിയാതെ

ആരുമാരാരും അറിയാതെ 

നിന്‍റെ കണ്‍പീലികള്‍ എന്നെ വിളിച്ചു
