When you were asleep

On that silent night
woke up from my sleep,
hearing the scary thunder
spark of lightning on your face
Like a new born baby
feeling the warmth of mother
Saw you, lying besides me
close to my heart
Wings protected you
from the shivering cold
Feathers gently moved across
to make you stay asleep
Warned the roaring wind
not to disturb your sleep
but to wake you up gently
in the early morning.
Ordered thunder and lightning
not to distract you
at this auspicious moment
Requested Nightingale
to sing softly
Prayed to Lord Almighty
always I protect you
and keep you warm.
