Lovely Day

I am really happy today to go back to my college. I was invited by my teacher to go and receive a memento for securing rank in PG exam. I felt very happy to sit in those classrooms where I sat few months back. But I realize how much miss those campus and my class and moreover my friends.
I met my teachers, juniors and faculties from other college. It was a sent off party for the HOD. All my teachers are special and particular in their own ways. They have their own style in taking classes and teaching.
I am a person who did not have a passion for teaching. But their classes helped me a lot in developing a passion for teaching. No other job can be noble as teaching is.
Mathematics is a subject which is considered as the toughest, but one should try to learn the subject by loving it; the eagerness to know about it is a must.
I miss my college, teachers and friends a lot.

Musical legend Bhimsen Joshi

Music is an art which stand different from poetry, drawing etc. All over the world music has two forms, classical and popular. The door of popular music is open to a large number of people whereas the heavenly door of classical music is not open to everyone. Regular practice, mind to work hard, dedication, sincerity, moreover passion, in born talent and god’s grace are necessary to get into the world of classical music. Bhimsen Joshi was a man of that kind. He was born for the world of music.

Joshi was a childish man who was very friendly with his fellow mates. He always wished to be seated in front of the cars while travelling. He had a great passion for automobiles. If he didn’t become a musician, he would definitely have been an engineer, fulfilling his father’s wish. While performing he makes funny expressions with his face but once he step out of the stage, he regain his childishness. He received Padmasree in 1972, Padmabhooshan in 1985 and Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor, in 2008. His performance in Doordarshan’s national integrity song ‘Mile sur mera tumhara’ will be remembered by all Indians and stay in their hearts forever. He died in Pune on Jan 24, 2011, due to prolonged illness.

If Ramatanu Pandey, popular as Tansen, was the musical legend in the Durbar of Akbar then Bhimsen Joshi was the Tansen of 21st century.

Toxic groundwater cause health hazards in Punjab

The groundwater available in the border areas of Ferozepur district of Punjab is toxic due to water pollutants. This has raised chronic health hazard to children as well the elder ones. Children have to depend on wheelchairs.
Despite of crippling disorders, people loss eye sight, suffer from psoriasis, skin problems, organ failures, cancer, chronic jaundice, mutilation of organs, premature greying of hair and mental disorders.
The most affected areas are Dona Nanaka, Teja Rohella, Mahata Nagar, Jhanger Bhaini and Retewali Bhaini villages. People are coming up with requests to hand over their villages to Pakistan.
The water in the Sutlej river carries blue waters till Nangal in Ropar district. It is polluted by impurities from Ropar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Moga cities of Punjab and also Kasur from Pakistan. These waters carry deadly uranium, lead, mercury, heavy metals and heavy dosage of pesticides. This polluted water reaches the groundwater causing harmful effects on peoples’ health.
Our people and government have developed so much but the environmental pollution still remains as an issue without any solution. Chemical wastes from industries should not be discharged into water bodies which is harmful to both human and aquatic lives.
