The math Explorer by Jefferson hane weaver

Mathematics is the Queen of science.
Where and how did this mathematics emerge? This is a frequent question asked by many students who find difficulty with mathematics.  This book gives you an answer for your doubtful thoughts.
Mathematics is closely related to our daily life like our mother tongue.  The important use of mathematics is related to numbers; to tally our income and expenditure in a month, deal with bank accounts and money.
Centuries back money and currency didn't exist, but math emerged.  Do you know how? Shepherds had to keep a count of their herd of sheep. They did this with the help of stones and one one correspondence.  Before taking the herd for grazing they kept aside stones for each sheep. After returning also they did the same process,  if one Stone does not have a sheep to match with then they knew one sheep was missing.  This is a tedious task and they thought about using fingers. But fingers also we had only ten so how to make use of it in case of more sheeps. It is not possible to assign each finger to one sheep. That requirement gave rise to one two three and so on..counting is the main purpose of numbers.
But is that all we need? Our universe is vast and wide with multiple activities so whole numbers will not be enough to live in this complicated universe. If you want to say about a portion of a land, how can you represent?  You need fractions which have numerator and denominator.  It's only a literal word to denote the part above the line and below the line.
Aristotle,  the Greek mathematician is behind the deductive reasoning.  Literally a sentence might be meaningless but deductive reasoning might say that is true. This is the type of questions we have in our competitive exams as analogy questions. Something found out centuries back is still used to evaluate the skill of a person for job. Why mathematics is a part of all competitive examinations?  The reason is nothing else but it is a logical science.
Mathematics was used to describe everything in nature by galileo, Kepler,  copurnicus; they tried to define and describe universe and nature in mathematical terms. Galileo found out simple mathematical formulas which we still learn in school classes.
Pythagoras theorem we learn at school level, this theorem is very much applicable in architecture and astronomical studies. Euclidean geometry is still followed.
Algebra is something which confuses students with variables.  Many students find it difficult to deal with variables whereas numerically thy are comfortable.  Algebra is an easy way to express the problems.  Equations simplifies the engineering problems.  No doubt mathematics is still the Queen.  She will also be in that chair forever . All subjects are directly linked with mathematics
