A Greek myth

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess named psyche, who was admired and feared by all because she seemed to be too independent. Her father got worried in the situation that his daughter might end up as a spinster so he appealed to God Apollo.  God decided to solve this problem: psyche was to go alone, in mourning dress, to the top of a mountain. Before dawn a serpent would come to marry her.
The father obeyed the order of Apollo and she was sent to the top of the mountain.  in Terrified and freezing cold weather she went to sleep ; certain to die.
However next day she woke up in a beautiful palace having been turned into a queen. Each night her husband came to meet her under one condition ; fully trust him and never see his face.
After a few months of being together feel in love with him,Eros.  She loved the conversations with him, had great pleasure in their love makings and she was given all the respect she deserved.  But she always had the fear of being married to a horrible serpent.
She was no longer able to control her curiosity and one day that happened ; she waited for her husband to fall asleep, gently moved the speed aside. In the candle light she saw the face of a man of incredible beauty. But he was awakened by the candle light and realized that his wife had not been able to be true to his only condition,  Eros disappeared forever.
Are we never able to see the face of true love?
Greeks meant: love is an act of faith and it's face should always be covered in mystery.  every moment should be lived with feelings and emotion because if we try to decipher it and understand it the magic disappears. We follow it's winding and luminous paths, we let ourselves go to the highest peak or the deepest seas, but ee trust in the hand that leads us. If we do not allow ourselves to be frightened,  we will always awaken in a palace; if we fear the steps that will be required by love and want it to reveal everything to us,  the result is that we will be left with nothing.
Love does not obey anyone and will betray those who try to decipher it's mystery.
