Science writing as a career: Kamalesh Ray

The author is a well- known science journalists who has years of experience in science writing, broadcasting and television. He mainly discuss about the career opportunities in science writing, how it can be made effective in mass media communication.

Unlike other subjects science is a vast subject. So, first one has to decide in which area to specialize, like medicine, engineering, technology, etc. never go for market demands. Always choose a subject in which you are familiar and interested. You will be appreciated for how you write and not for what you write. I think this is true in all writings.

This book provide a list of journals published, names of national laboratories, some scientific societies functioning in India, some scientific departments and institutions in India, scientists and their field of excellency and also some scientific events.

In science writing also, always keep in mind about the reader interest and for whom you are writing. This book really helps to know how to write, what to write and where to write. This was published by the Press Institute of India, New Delhi. It is actually a guide book for those interested in science and science writing. This book provides a whole lot of information and ideas about science writing. I loved reading this book.
